AMMAN - SEPTEMBER 18, 2019 - HelpAge International celebrated the International Day of Older Persons in cooperation with Fine company as part of the 'Leaving No One Behind' project II.

The first day of October is the International Day of Older Persons, where older people are celebrated by giving them more attention and appreciation. The goal for this celebration is to develop awareness among members of the community and various institutions on the issues of older persons and to appreciate their past contributions and achievements in the service of their communities and work on the journey to age equality.

The day started with a trip on the newly available Trolly starting from Jabal Al-Weibdeh with nearly 60 older women and men on a tour of the old and new streets of Amman, where this trip aims to promote the culture of the older people in the tourist and archaeological sites in the capital Amman in an entertaining atmosphere. Then they proceed to Nuqul Group in Abdoun, where Fine presented entertainment competitions and offered gifts to the older people as a kind of respect and appreciation to them.
